Richard Myers founded Realty Capital in 1987 to acquire, develop, own and manage investment-grade commercial and residential real estate projects. He, along with Jimmy Archie and Tim Coltart, manage and oversee the operations of Realty Capital along with focusing on property acquisition and development.
In addition to his responsibilities at Realty Capital, Richard is the Chief Executive Officer of Realty Capital Partners (RCP). He formed this company to provide individual investors with the opportunity to invest in real estate projects. RCP has invested approximately $500 million of equity, representing approximately $1.5 billion of real estate projects.
Prior to forming Realty Capital and RCP, Richard was a partner with Lincoln Property Company, a national real estate development company. Before joining Lincoln, he was a development partner and Senior Vice President of GSC Realty Corporation, a Dallas-based development company. While at GSC, he was responsible for the development and acquisition of approximately $450 million of commercial and residential projects located in 10 states. To date, he has developed over 5,000 residential units and more than two million square feet of commercial buildings.
Richard graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and from Harvard Business School with a Master of Business Administration.
